We’re off! The bright lights of Milan are calling and we’re headed to the #IKEATemporary exhibition as part of the annual expo. An exploration of life at home, it centres around the kitchen and the food we eat and its undeniable ability to unite people. Hosting a series of talks, demonstrations and food tastings, I’m so excited to finally get round to seeing what our Italian counterparts have been up to!
They’ve been working with students of the Lund University of Industrial Design on a project called IKEA HACKA where they hack away at a kitchen for the ultimate personalisation.
The bit I’m really looking forward to is the Kitchen of 2015 – exploring how the future of cooking could look with projected recipes using the ingredients you have onto your surfaces, to help you be more inspired whilst making your meals and reduce your food waste.
More to come! Arrivederci!
