LOLCAT

According to the ever trustworthy source that is Wikipedia, a ‘lolcat’ (pronounced /ˈlɒlkæt/ lol-kat incase you weren’t sure) is an “image combining a photograph of a cat with text intended to contribute humour. The text is often idiosyncratic and grammatically incorrect, and its use in this way is known as “lolspeak” or “kitty pidgin”.”

A forum instigated artform that has seeped into the many viral images you now come across on social media, it’s a curious exhibition entirely dedicated to the phenomenon. Presented by Soapbox & Sons, curated by Art Director Jenny Theolin‘LOLCAT – TEH EXHIBISHUN’ is a group art show exploring the weird and wonderful world of lolcats showcasing them in all their glory in all the expansive media you could possibly dream of.
